ReArm Europe is a good start, but more is needed:
✅ A true EU defence market
✅ A true European Defence Union
✅ Joint European projects, including a cyber brigade, a missile defence shield, a joint satellite, and drone programs.

Good discussion during our EPP study visit in Podgorica on the importance of continuing on the path of EU integration for all Western Balkan countries. The EPP remains a key driver of EU enlargement, based on merit and our European way of life.

We save money on defence together. The EU has 17 tank models; the US has one. We need standardisation, joint procurement & a European defence market.
Joint projects increase the quality of European defence:
🔹️Missile & drone defence
🔹️Cyber brigade
🔹️Satellite surveillance
I truly congratulate @vonderleyen and @eucopresident for last Thursday's strong message, the will to invest into our defence and our strength.
But this can only be a starting point - the main task of our generation is to create a true European Defence Union - the EPP is ready!
