As the oldest group in this House, we respect its political culture. We voted with the platform in ~90% of cases and yes, ~3% of final votes the @EPPGroup won with ECR and PfE support. But over 7% passed with Socialists and PfE against the EPP- these are the facts!
The @EPPGroup defends 🇪🇺democracy. @vonderleyen is President not due to backroom deals— but because EPP won & she was our lead candidate. With her, Ribera & Séjourné, we have a balanced Commission. In last 12 months in roll-call-votes, we voted with the platform in ~90% of cases.
We as @EPPGroup draw a clear red line against extremists. Pro-Europe, pro-rule of law, pro-Ukraine. Others follow our definition—no lessons needed. We are often the only force against authoritarianism: Tusk vs Kaczyński; Magyar vs Orbán; together with Fiala, EPP will defeat Babiš
