WE NEED A GLOBAL BAN ON SINGLE USE PLASTIC

The day in Malta started with an initiative promoted by Maltese youngsters which I warmly supported. Europe’s beautiful beaches should not be polluted by plastic here or anywhere. We will not allow our planet to turn into the biggest garbage dump in the universe: as pioneers of clean technologies, I will push for a global ban on single use plastic. Read my proposal here in my op-ed for the “Times of Malta”.

I’ve joined Adrian Delia to plant a tree in Swieqi. We want to have more green areas and to improve air quality.

I’ve been at the General Council meeting of Partit Nazzjonalista. It was good to meet with our friends Adrian Delia, Roberta Metsola, David Casa and Francis Zammit Dimech. For me it is clear: there are no big or small countries, we are all Europeans. And by voting for EPP Members, you can make sure that Malta has a strong voice in Europe.
